Whataburger made huge news a couple months ago when it opened its first Missouri location near Kansas City. They've done it again as they've officially announced they're gonna open another location in the Show-Me State.

The mayor of Ozark, Missouri gets the credit for this one. He dropped this big announcement on his Facebook page yesterday.

As you might remember, the first Whataburger in Missouri was brought to Kansas City thanks in no small part to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The line for that location at the grand opening was miles long for days.

The Ozark, Missouri location (which is basically the southern part of Springfield) won't be opening for awhile as construction hasn't even started. But, now that the permits have been applied for and the business plan is before their city council, it's just a matter of time.

If you're a fan of Whataburger, your taste buds now will have multiple Missouri options for a burger road trip possibility.
