Breakthrough Artist of the Week: Andrea Vasquez

Each Friday at 9:30am, KICK-FM will feature an artist on the rise during the Breakthrough Artist of the Week.

Growing up in Virginia, Andrea Vasquez was surrounded by the modern country music movement, inspired to pursue singing by Shania Twain, Dixie Chicks and Carrie Underwood. Fusing the modern pop-country, the traditional country elements, and her Latin American roots, Vasquez puts a new spin on modern country, while still connecting with audiences through the personal storytelling in her songwriting. Andrea has made a name for herself playing clubs and festivals throughout the south, recently signed to Arrow Music, and is prepping her debut EP, featuring her debut single, 'Sugar Coat It.'
