For the second year in a row Blessing Hospital in Quincy has received a prestigious award for its patient’s protection and health care.

Blessing was awarded an “A” grade from the Leapfrog Group in its spring 2021 Hospital Safety Grade report. This national distinction recognizes the hospital’s achievements in protecting patients from harm and providing safer health care. This spring grade was based on data collected immediately prior to the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Blessing also earned an A in the fall 2020 safety report.

The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization committed to health care quality and safety and assigns a safety grade every six months to the more than 2,700 general hospitals across the country. Blessing Hospital was among 33 percent of hospitals earning an “A” grade.
