According to Missouri's Best Awards 2024, the winner for the best American Cuisine in the Show-Me State is a place called The Bend at the Duck in the Lake of the Ozarks. The Bend at the Duck according to their own Facebook page is a "superb" place for American cuisine. On their website, they say...

What is on the Menu at The Bend at the Duck?
The menu is loaded with Chef Roxan's personal takes on classic American dishes like the Black Peppercorn Steak, the Steak and Lobster, the Prime Rib, Lemon Pepper Chicken, the Apple Thyme Chutney Pork Porterhouse, Oyster Rockefeller, Chicken Wings, and of course a Burger. I have never been to The Bend at the Duck but the menu looks terrific, the pictures of the food and the views on the website look great, and if it beat out all of the great St. Louis and Kansas City restaurants to win this award they must be doing something right!
