If you're attending the Adams County Fair in the next few days, you'll notice some of the activities of the Adams County Old Tyme Association at the fairgrounds.
The Old Tyme Association is looking for owners to display 100 plus, antique tractors during the fair.
There will be prizes awarded to the oldest tractor, the best condition, and the tractor coming the farthest. Events include a 10-mile tractor ride on Saturday, July 28, and an antique tractor parade to the Round Barn on Saturday and Sunday.
Following the tractor ride on Saturday there will be an Ice Cream Churn-Off and Ice Cream Social. Registration is at 11:30, churn-off at noon, and judging at 1:00 pm. Anyone wanting to enter their own homemade ice cream into the mix should contact Anita Duffy (938-2927) for more information.
As in the past, the Olde Tyme Association will have a series of displays and demonstrations from Friday, July 27, through Monday, July 30, on the Fairgrounds and by the Round Barn and One-Room Schoolhouse.
For more information, contact Bill Schaefer (223-1712) or Lee Weatherby (242-0541). Call Dave Lewis (222-8741) for more about the Tram Wagon and parade.
