We know how great Quincy is, but now our small haven is getting national recognition for being one of the best small towns in Illinois.

Quincy has come a long way since I moved here in 2003. There are several new businesses and retail spaces, downtown events, and even its one brewing company, which according to World Atlas is one of the reasons why Quincy is on this list.

In a community that appreciates the arts, guests can look forward to entertaining stage productions at the Quincy Community Theatre.

With so many charming small towns it's about time Quincy gets the well-deserved recognition and it's on a list with several small towns that pop up on "charming town" lists.

I've always said Quincy is a great place to get married, settle down, and raise a family and I am doing just that. It's located with access to bigger cities to get away and go shopping, but also small enough to enjoy the little things. It may not always be perfect, but I would say it is a captivating charming small town.
