2 Hannibal Residents Charged with 2nd Degree Murder in Assault

Four suspects have been arrested and now two have been charged in a weekend assault that resulted in a man's death. As a result, two Hannibal residents have now officially been charged with 2nd degree murder.

According to the Hannibal Police Department press release, the assault happened early Sunday morning in the 100 block of North Main. A man who was assaulted later died of his injuries.

They announced today that 4 suspects were arrested and the following residents were charged with 2nd degree murder:

• Tiara T Bonner (26) of Hannibal, Murder 2nd Degree
• Jason D Anderson (24) of Hannibal, Murder 2nd Degree

Both are being held at the Marion County Jail without bond. The two other suspects are being detained while the investigation continues.

The press release said this investigation was a coordinated effort between detectives from the Hannibal Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Department, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty. This story will be updated as new information is provided.
