Watch Sycamore, Illinois Twister Nearly Drop Debris on Chasers

How do you know when you've gotten too close to a tornado if you're a chaser? I would argue that's the case if debris is nearly falling on your head like it almost did to storm chasers near Sycamore, Illinois today.

Fox 32 Chicago shared this insane chase video today. It shows a car that had a tornado drop straight ahead of them on the roadway near some trees and a building. Watch how fast this gets dangerous.

The National Weather Service had multiple reports of Illinois tornadoes today especially in the DeKalb County area. Fortunately, there don't appear to be any serious injuries or fatalities associated with these tornados, but the videos show plenty of property damage.

Just a few days ago, we shared another close call from an Illinois chaser who came within feet of a tornado rated a very strong EF3 near Rochelle, Illinois. Hard to know if this person was actually chasing the storm or just ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's incredibly compelling video showing how dangerous being near debris in these storms can be.
