Warsaw Man Arrested on Sexual Abuse Charges

A Warsaw man is in the Hancock County Jail on sexual abuse charges.

Sheriff Scott Bentzinger reports the arrest Tuesday afternoon of 28 year old Jerry Blackwell outside of his home on a Hancock County warrant.

The warrant came as the result of an investigation by the sheriff’s office and other agencies into allegations that Blackwell had engaged in sexual conduct with a juvenile between the ages of 13 and 18.

Blackwell is charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He is lodged in the Hancock County Jail on $50,000 bond.
