2019 Kennedy Center Honors: Trisha Yearwood’s ‘You’re No Good’ Cover for Linda Ronstadt Is a Can’t-Miss [WATCH]
At the 2019 Kennedy Center Honors, Trisha Yearwood was among the stars who helped pay tribute to music legend Linda Ronstadt, one of this year's honorees. The country star turned in a soulful performance of Ronstadt's "You're No Good," and duetted on "I Don't Know Much" with Aaron Neville.

"It was February of 1973. Linda, opening for Neil Young, had just wowed his crowd of thousands in Houston, Texas, and then made her way across the tracks to Liberty Hall, a hippie honky-tonk where I was doing two shows a night as part of a band called the Fallen Angels," recalled Harris, who, along with Ronstadt and Dolly Parton, released the lauded Trio album in the late 1980s. "There we would meet for the first time and begin a friendship and a collaboration lasting almost five decades.
"It has been one of the great joys of my life to sing with Linda, but even more to have her fierce, unfaltering friendship," Harris continued. "And it is a joy to stand before her now, before all of you, before the world, and say, 'Linda, my sister, my dear companion, thank you, and congratulations on your Kennedy Center Honor.'"
"I Don't Know Much" was originally covered by Ronstadt and Neville in 1989. It became a mega-hit for the pair, and won them a Grammy. Press play above to watch Neville and Yearwood's performance of the song at the 2019 Kennedy Center Honors.
Ronstadt has been unable to sing since being diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2013. She rarely makes public appearances anymore, but did attend the 2019 Kennedy Center Honors -- and grabbed headlines for, on Dec. 7, expressing her displeasure with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's support of President Donald Trump, to Pompeo himself, during a State Department dinner.
In addition to Ronstadt, 2019's Kennedy Center honorees are actor Sally Field, R&B/soul/funk group Earth, Wind & Fire, conductor Michael Tilson Thomas and the children's television series Sesame Street.
