These Are Quincy/Hannibal’s Favorite Christmas Songs
Earlier this week, we took to the social medias to ask you what your favorite Christmas songs.
And you guys delivered! It was fun reading through the comments, seeing what some of your favorites were.
Sam's favorite is the classic "Jingle Bell Rock" from Bobby Helms (though she welcomes most any version):
I myself, ever a fan of music of the 50s and 60s, went with Charles Brown's bluesy 1960 hit "Please Come Home From Christmas," also welcoming most any version, as it's just that great of a song.
The more traditional Silent Night picked up the most nods from commenters on the posts, and through our text line. It's a simple, elegant song and definitely a defining tune of the Christmas season. As another commenter suggested, "Anything Alan Jackson sings," we'll go with Alan Jackson's "Silent Night" off of his Let It Be Christmas album.
And of course the modern era classic, Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You," made the rounds throughout the suggestions, and Lady Antebellum does a great slower, ballad version.
And finally Jingle Bells was suggested several times throughout the day as a favorite. And you can't not have a good time listening to it, no matter what version.
