Back to School shopping can get pretty expensive for parents, and the cost of supplies seems to go up every year. With that in mind, the "Stuff the Bus" campaign will be held August 8th to help families in need of school supplies.
The 6th annual Load the Lobby campaign for the Salvation Army's Toy Town distribution will be taking over the KICK-FM lobby at 24th and Broadway, November 14 though December 12.
The Salvation Army Kroc Center will partner with Leaps of Love, a non-profit organization based in Hannibal, Missouri to host a special event for Leaps of Love on Saturday, September 28 from 10am to 4pm
The Salvation Army will again this year, distribute electric fans to those in need. The program will begin on June 3 and fans will be distributed as they are available in both Quincy and Hannibal.
The Salvation Army will provide a free community Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25th from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The dinner will be held in the gymnasium at the Kroc Center at 405 Vermont Street.
The Salvation Army is once again teaming up with Quincy Firefighters Local 63 to help ensure there will be toys under the tree for local kids who otherwise wouldn’t have them. The morning of Thursday, December 13th at 7:30am, firefighters will meet at Walmart in Quincy to buy some of the toy requests left on their Angel Tree.
Two more days to go for our Load The Lobby campaign! We've been updating you with pictures over the past couple of weeks and as you can see, there is still room for more! We will be accepting new or gently used toys through this Friday at 5pm, then they will be collected by the Salvation Army next week for distribution to needy families through their Toy Town program.
