Of all the fall events cancelled for COVID, the Hannibal Folklife Festival is a favorite that won't happen this year. However, a few vendors have decided to make do with a pared-down event.

I remember hearing a long time ago that the best way to tell the locals from the tourists at Hannibal's Autumn Historic Follklife Festival is that the tourists are there for the crafts, and the locals are there for the food.

This weekend marks the 37th annual Autumn Historic Folklife Festival in downtown Hannibal, presented by the Hannibal Arts Council. In addition to exhibitors, demonstrations and food, the Folklife Festival will also feature a number of performances throughout the weekend.

If you were to ask several attendees of the Autumn Historic Folklife Festival about their favorite part of the annual event in downtown Hannibal, there's a very good likelihood that you would hear "food" as an answer fairly often. Here's a rundown of who's serving what during the 2013 Folklife Festival, according to the Hannibal Arts Council.

This weekend the 37th annual Autumn Historic Folklife Festival will take place in America's Hometown. Twain on Main was held on Memorial Day Weekend, and the Downtown Hannibal Art Fair is a summertime festival that draws visitors from around the region to Main Street. What is the difference between these festivals?

The summer is coming to an end. With the fall season, there are plenty of events and activities scheduled all around the area. Here is a guide to 2013 Fall events around the area.:

Over 100 exhibitors will fill the streets of Hannibal’s Historic Main Street on Saturday and Sunday, October 20 and 21, for the Hannibal Arts Council’s 36th Annual Autumn Historic Folklife Festival.  Festival hours are from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

It's that time of year.  It's a fireworks show of colors in the trees.  That's my fancy way of saying the leaves are changing.  With area color drives and the Folklife Festival coming up along with a bushel load of other fun activities, I decided to take ye olde camera through Riverview Park in Hannibal for some picture taking.  This blog is the result.
