Stephen Piscotty’s Misfortune Mocked on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’
By now, you’ve likely heard about Cardinals right fielder Stephen Piscotty who had a rough trip around the bases on Tuesday night. After being plunked in right elbow by Cubs flamethrower Jake Arrieta, Piscotty was hit in the left elbow on a throw to second by catcher Willson Contreras. If that wasn’t enough, just a few plays later, Piscotty scored on a misplayed grounder and was hit in the head by a throw from second baseman Javier Baez.
Now don’t worry. Stephen Piscotty is okay. According to Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post Dispatch, Piscotty cleared concussion tests on Wednesday morning and, had the game not been rained out, would have been able to play in Wednesday afternoon’s rubber match.
Now that Cardinals Nation can breathe a collective sigh of relief, you don’t have to feel bad about laughing at this segment from Wednesday night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live where the host says Piscotty was “hit more times than Rhonda Rousey”. Check out the fake interview from a fake network with fake Stephen Piscotty (it’s real funny).
