Runaway June put a new spin on a great country heartbreak song as they cover Keith Whitley, one of the genre's all-time great vocalists.

The "Buy My Own Drinks" hitmakers performed the song during their Taste of Country Nights visit earlier this year. Hosts Evan Paul and Amber asked for a song that meant something to them and dang, did these girls ever deliver. Watch as Naomi Cooke, Hannah Mulholland and Jennifer Wayne pour through the lyrics of "I'm Over You," a song on the I Wonder Do You Think of Me album, which was released a few months after Whitley's death in 1989.

"Buy My Own Drinks" reached the Top 5 of the Billboard Country Airplay chart, making Runaway June the first all-female trio to do so since the Dixie Chicks over a decade ago. The song was a breakthrough hit for a group that's been hard at work on music and touring for several years. Taste of Country first discovered them in 2016, naming them RISERS the following year. Their single "Lipstick" cracked the Top 40.

Runaway June are currently on the road with Carrie Underwood and Maddie & Tae. The all-female tour features a medley of classic country hits towards the end of Underwood's set. It's an all-call moment of songs that spotlights each woman's talents.

The Cry Pretty 360 Tour comes to Nashville on Sept. 27.
