Quincy’s Riverfront Fireworks Canceled
Due to the rise in case of COVID-19 in Adams County, the organizers for the Quincy Fireworks show has decided to cancel the show scheduled for weekend.
According to WGEM, the fireworks which originally was supposed to take place on the 4th of July and was rescheduled for Sunday, September 6th at the riverfront has been canceled. It was moved from the Illinois Veterans Home to the Riverfront due to the pandemic, but now the entire event has been canceled and organizers are looking forward to bringing it back for 2021.
As much as my family loves to gather for holiday's and enjoy fireworks, BBQ's and family time, this is the right decision to make. It totally stinks and I was looking forward to watching to fireworks at a safe distance, but it’s the right decision to make. The fireworks show that is put on disappoints and is spectacular.
As everything else in 2020, there's always next year. Which I am going to need a second job for all the events, concerts, and activities that will happen.
