If you're looking to buy a home in Missouri, it's apparently possible to do it for just $1 - kinda sorta. There's a lot to explain so I'll do that and share a video that allows you to peek inside and see what they're like.

I enjoy the YouTube channel Explore Abandoned Places With TattooTonyAlton. They always seem to find an interesting place to explore. This is definitely one of those things. It's a selection of homes in St. Louis that as recently as last year were available to buy for $1, but there is a catch kinda. First, watch them explore.

I'm not really exaggerating when I say that these might be the most expensive $1 homes you'll ever find. Depending on the location of these homes, the insurance might run you a small fortune. I don't know the exact addresses of the places that Tony shared in his video so I can't speak about them specifically, but in a turbo-high-crime place like some areas of St. Louis, you would probably want to try and give this house away after you paid a dollar for it.

If you are a glass-half-full sort of person though, someone with a vision (and probably a locked-down home security system) could maybe turn these homes into something nice. No doubt there's some nice history in some of these places.

I couldn't help but think of the many "free" dogs I've been given in my life. While they were lovely animals, they cost me a fortune to take care of. These homes might be the equivalent of that.
