A couple in Indiana are facing criminal charges after authorities say they left two children in a running car while they attended a Luke Bryan concert.

Bryan recently released a new studio album, Kill the Lights, and he's been crossing the country on his Kick the Dust Up Tour to promote it. The country superstar performed a two-night stand at the Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach this past Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 19-20, as part of that tour, and according to local news station WPBF, fans who were headed into the venue at one of those concerts called police and alerted them about two children who appeared to be sitting alone in a running vehicle.

When authorities investigated, they found two minors, ages 9 and 11, alone in the car. They used one of the kids' cell phones and were able to reach their father, Kiel Sheppard. According to reports, he told the police he'd left the children about 45 minutes prior to receiving the call. He and his fiancee, Courtney Blakley, returned to the car, where they reportedly admitted that they had driven more than 100 miles from New Port Richie, Fla., to see the show without lining up childcare, admitting that it "wasn't the best idea."

According to Sheppard's Facebook page, he owns a business called University Chefs. Blakley's page lists her occupation as a bartender. Both of them live in Indianapolis. The couple are now facing charges of child neglect. They have not commented publicly on the incident.
