Take advantage of this great Summer weather and enjoy the outdoors with the Night Hike through the Sodalis Nature Preserve in Hannibal. It is all happening Friday, September 11th at 6:30 pm right before the sun starts setting, this event is hosted by the Hannibal Parks and Recreation. They created a Facebook event, which you can see by clicking here, on the event they say...

"The full program lasts about two hours and follows a 2-mile paved trail. Participants are welcome to stay with the group or return to the parking lot on their own. Activities include seasonal observations, sensory activities and the telling of the creation of Sodalis Nature Preserve.
There will be a strict limit of 20 participants and reservations must be made by calling Hannibal Parks & Recreation at 221-0154 or by emailing mlrichards@hannibal-mo.gov."

This sounds like a perfect family adventure or maybe even a fun date night activity! I would love to get out and explore the Sodalis Nature Preserve, especially at night because it will cool off, and you get to take in that big beautiful country night time sky! I love looking up at the stars and finding the constellations, I use to work at the Alder Planetarium in Chicago teaching people how to find the constellations, and let me tell you it's a lot easier to find the stars in the Tri-States compared to the bright city lights of Chicago!
