There will be even more reasons to visit the Missouri State Fair this August.

When and Where to See the Budweiser Clydesdales

In addition to the live Grandstand concerts, delicious fair food, and exciting events, the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales will be making an appearance at the Missouri State Fair.

Visitors can see these majestic horses at the Mathewson Exhibition Center. During the fair, the iconic eight-horse hitch will be harnessed and hitched to the historic turn-of-the-century beer wagon for several special appearances.

The History Behind the Famous Clydesdale Hitch

Three Clydesdale teams travel across the country each year, taking the horses and hitch wagons to major events and celebrations. The Clydesdales have served as mascots for Anheuser-Busch since 1933, when a team of the famous horses was presented to August A. Busch Sr. to celebrate the repeal of Prohibition.

Other Places You Can Visit the Clydesdales

If you miss them at the fair, you can still visit these beautiful animals at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in St. Louis, Grant's Farm, or Warm Springs Ranch, where many of the Clydesdales are bred and raised.
