Miranda Lambert Becomes a Parrothead, Joins Jimmy Buffett for ‘Margaritaville’ [Watch]
Miranda Lambert was 'all smiles' after she saw Jimmy Buffett in concert for the first time on Thursday night (July 6), but she didn’t just sit in the audience — she got to join in.
The “Vice” singer went to Buffett's show in St. Louis, and according to her adorable Instagram post, she accompanied him on his classic "Margaritaville," going all in on the style for the occasion with a Hawaiian shirt and a lei as a headband.
Posing for a photo smiling alongside the legendary singer, Lambert definitively described herself as a 'Parrothead' for life after the experience. Check out a quick clip of the performance below:
Lambert has been performing festivals this summer, like the Taste of Country Music Festival and CMA Fest, where she also hosted a march for her organization MuttNation, which advocates and raises money for for homeless pets and shelters. It was recently announced that she will be performing at Heal the Music Day this fall alongside artists like Chris Stapleton and Vince Gill to support musicians without quality insurance and benefits in times of medical crisis, connecting them with the doctors, medicine and financial assistance they need. She also appears on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine in its upcoming issue, out July 11, where she shares the best compliment she’s ever gotten from a fan.
“I threw away my scale because of you. You made me realize that weight doesn’t define beauty,” she recalls the fan saying.
Lambert’s most recent album The Weight of These Wings released last fall, and its third single “Tin Man” officially dropped in April, hitting No. 15 on the Billboard U.S. Hot Country Songs chart.
