The Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce has hired Latonya Brock as their new Executive Director, effective Sept. 18.  The Chamber Board of Directors chose Brock out of 25 candidates for the position.

“Latonya's leadership skills, ideas for growth of the Chamber, and willingness to strengthen partnerships and build relationships immediately stood out to us during our search” said Melanie Allen, chairman of the board.

Brock has worked for the Chamber since February of 2016. As membership manager, she led the “Purpose & Potential Leadership Conversations” leadership courses, developed a committee to work on diversity and inclusion, increased membership, and implemented various successful member retention plans.

A native of Indianapolis, Brock has led a staff of up to 20 at a credit union, and has also worked closely and successfully with one of the high schools on a Turn a Round Committee, which was a part of The Indianapolis Public School System.

“I am excited and honored to be the next executive director for the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce,” said Brock. “Quincy is a proud and business-friendly community. I look forward to working under the direction of a strong Board to continue to enhance our community.  Brock succeeds Amy Looten as Executive Director.
