Two Illinois Hospitals Ranked Among the Best in America
Two Illinois hospitals made U.S. News & World Report's list of the Best Hospitals in America.
Landing on the prestigious Honor Roll, recognizing the nation's top-performing hospitals, are:
- Northwestern Memorial Hospital
- Rush University Medical Center
Both hospitals are in Chicago, and in total, 20 hospitals in the Windy City earned Best Regional Hospital Honors on the list.

Two Illinois Hospitals Named to U.S. News National Honor Roll
U.S. News & World Report looked at 4,500 different hospitals and factored patient care, outcomes, experience, staffing, and performance across numerous medical specialties to come up with their best of the best.

How Rockford-Area Facilities Scored
Locally, UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital, along with OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, both received 3 out of 5 on a patient experience scale. However, UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital did receive high-performing scores in three different procedures and conditions, outranking OSF St. Anthony Medical Center's two.
