A new ranking reveals the best and worst cities in America for college grads to start a career, and Missouri is home to one of the best of the best in the entire United States, here are the details...

According to a new ranking from WalletHub, St. Louis, Missouri is the 15th best city in the US to start a career in 2024! St. Louis ranks much higher than cities like Kansas City which is ranked 71st, Chicago which ranks 87th, and even the growing city of Nashville which ranks 57th on the list.

Why is St. Louis so high on this list? According to the article, "To help recent college graduates find the best cradles for their budding careers, WalletHub compared the relative market strength and overall livability of more than 180 U.S. cities. We examined each city based on 26 key metrics that range from the availability of entry-level jobs to the average monthly starting salary to housing affordability."

St. Louis ranks 10th in the Professional Opportunities category and 46th in the Quality of Life category. The 46th ranking may seem low but St. Louis is ranked higher in Quality of Life than Pheonix, Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, and Kansas City, to see the full rankings for yourself, click here!

Do you agree with the ranking?

I see no reason to disagree with this ranking, St. Louis has a lot of good job opportunities for kids out of college. This isn't a ranking of "where to raise a family" or "places you'll feel safe 24/7" Those are rankings I would expect St. Louis to be ranked lower in.
