If the charges prove to be true, this is a massive theft of 450 head of cattle that originated in Missouri, but ended up in Wisconsin. The result is allegations that a Wisconsin man received this herd without paying for them.

This new press release from the Missouri Highway Patrol says that their Division of Drug and Crime Control arrested Jordan R. Leisgang, 27, of Seymour, Wisconsin on July 25, 2024. They announced that the Rural Crimes Unit of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control was contacted in November of 2023 about the theft of cattle in Howell County, Missouri.

The details say that a Howell County, Missouri resident helped facilitate the purchase of 450 cattle from a Salem, Arkansas sale barn, for Jordan R. Leisgang, of Seymour, Wisconsin. Once the cattle were delivered, the victim claims that the accused refused to pay for the herd and stopped communicating.

Wisconsin law enforcement arrested Leisgang in connection with the Howell County, Missouri charges. The report says "Leisgang is currently awaiting extradition to Missouri where he has a $100,000.00 bond".

The Missouri Highway Patrol emphasizes rightly that the charges are not evidence of guilt. Their efforts are to ensure that the accused is returned to Howell County, Missouri to face the charges against him. You can see more details in their full press release about this cattle incident.
