Missouri State Fair named one of the 10 Best State Fairs

The Show-Me State hosts their state fair in early August and the experts at Yelp claim it is one of the ten best state fairs to attend in the entire US. What makes the Missouri State Fair so special? Here are the details...

Yelp released a list called the Ten Best State Fairs to Experience this Summer, and the Missouri State Fair is on this list! The Missouri State Fair makes the list with the Iowa State Fair, Kansas State Fair, Minnesota State Fair, New York State Fair, Ohio State Fair, Oklahoma State Fair, Texas State Fair, Wisconsin State Fair, and Washington State Fair.

Why does the Missouri State Fair (which runs this year from August 8th through the 18th) make the list? On Yelp, they say "Since 1901, the Missouri State Fair has brought the state together for some healthy competition: to award the best in agriculture, livestock, food and arts all in one place. With so much to see and do, you’ll want a full day of exploring and eating your way through the fairgrounds. Once your stomach has settled from all the fair food, head to the midway for a dose of nostalgia and some carnival rides, flying high above the fairgrounds. Adult advance admission is $12." The Missouri State Fair is in Sedalia, Missouri, which is located almost smack dab in the middle of the Show-Me State.
