Missouri’s Best Play Area an Easy Day Trip West of Wentzville?
The best of anything is a very subjective opinion. However, in this case I believe that you can at least say this Missouri play area is one of the best in the state and the best part is it's an easy day trip to just west of Wentzville.
I just saw some high praise today from Only In Your State for what they describe as "the best summer day trip" in Missouri. This is that place.
This is Indian Camp Creek Park in Foristell, Missouri which is in western St. Charles County. It is loaded with huge playsets, slides, swings...you name it.
Get this. There are 10 miles of hiking trails plus the St. Charles County Parks site says it has "camping, disc golf, fishing and a large destination playground". That's an impressive amount of stuff to do.
If you're thinking of road-tripping to this Missouri park, note that it opens at 7 a.m. and closes half an hour after sunset. Considering the wide variety of things a family can do there, I'm not going to disagree that this might just be one of if not the best family day trips in Missouri.
