The Heat is On – Missouri Temps About to Soar into the 90’s
If you haven't already checked in on your air conditioner to make sure it's in good shape, might want to do that now. The forecast for the next couple weeks show that temperatures in Missouri are about to soar into the 90's and don't appear to be cooling down anytime soon.
The National Weather Service in St. Louis shared an interesting graphic about the upcoming weather pattern.
Then, if you look at the 10-day extended forecast for Hannibal, you'll see that by mid-week the daily highs will go above 90 and even thunderstorms won't provide much relief.
This brings to mind the theme song for the St. Louis Cardinals back in their World Series season of 1987. It was Glenn Frey's song "The Heat is On".
This song is now about to become the soundtrack for the end of May and beginning of June 2023 for Missouri especially. It looks like the Farmer's Almanac forecast that we shared a few months ago about the fact that we should expect a "wet broiling summer" is about to come true.
