Quincy & Chicago, Illinois in American Truck Simulator Gameplay
If you live in Illinois and enjoy playing PC games, you'll want to know about a new gameplay preview that prominently features Quincy, Chicago and a number of Illinois places in American Truck Simulator.
If you're not familiar with American Truck Simulator, it's about as close as you can get to driving a real truck on a computer. I have over 1,200 hours in this game so I know it like the back of my hand. The game started with maps in California, Nevada and New Mexico and has been slowly adding states as it crosses America. The next big release will be Illinois and there's new gameplay that shows how realistic it is.

As you can see in the screenshots and video, the developers have had to take a lot of liberties with how Illinois really is by scrunching the map severely. There's no way they could reproduce Illinois on a 1-to-1 scale, but they have the general vibe of driving around Illinois down. There's no firm release date yet, but expect the Illinois DLC to be available soon-probably in the next few weeks. You can check out the SCS Software site for updates and new information about the continual expansion of American Truck Simulator.
