Missouri’s 2026 Friendliest Places List Includes 2 Iffy Choices

I don't want to be that guy that's always finding something wrong with everything, but I believe that a new 2026 friendliest places in Missouri list includes a couple of questionable choices. I'll attempt to explain myself.

The website NextDoor knows a thing or two about being a good neighbor, but I'd really like to know how they determined the 10 friendliest places in Missouri for 2026. Before I raise my objections, check out their prestigious "friendliest" list for yourself.

I'd rather not name names, but there are at least 2 of these Missouri places that are friendly, but you're more likely to see a smiling face if you fit into a certain socioeconomic bracket. I won't toss out the Missouri places where I've encountered a cold shoulder especially since that's just my own experience and hopefully not a common happening. I will say they are both small places that are a part of larger metro areas which is probably the reason why.

Back to my original point. I don't want to be the kind of person who's always trying to rain on a parade. Congratulations to all of these 10 Missouri communities for making the most friendly list for 2026. The world could use a lot more kindness in this age we live in.
