7 Common Missouri Plants You Must Get Rid of If You Have Dogs

I have been fortunate to have had many dogs in my lifetime in Missouri. I also have no green thumb skills whatsoever and it's probably better that way as I've learned there are many common plants people keep in their homes in the Show Me State that are harmful to animals.

I'm a big fan of Labrador Retrievers. My family had two when we lived in Missouri a few years ago and I can testify they are playful and curious animals. They were always exploring and getting into trouble.

• Hibiscus - Pretty and safe if they're out of reach of your dog, but a big problem if they happen to get into one
