Megan Moroney was visibly emotional as she ended her show early in Denver, Colo. on Tuesday (July 28.)

The singer was ill when she took the stage, and she struggled through three songs before making the decision to cut her set short. She returned to stage to break that news to fans herself, and wept in frustration during her announcement.

"I am obviously extremely sick and I thought I did everything to make myself better, and obviously, two songs in, I just can't play this show tonight," she said from the stage.

She promised to make it up to the crowd, saying, "I wanna give you guys the show you deserve...I'm sorry."

The audience seemed overwhelmingly supportive of Moroney, especially as it became clear just how upset she was by having to stop the show. In the video, you can hear one female fan screaming "That's okay Meg, I love you" before the singer leaves the stage.

After the show, Moroney also issued a statement via Instagram Stories, saying that ending the show early was "the hardest decision I've ever had to make."

"I've never had to do this & I'm truly so sorry," she added.

"I never ever will give you guys a show that is not 100 percent and by song 3 I knew that I was not capable of giving that to you tonight," she added. "I'm typing this as I'm quite literally bawling my eyes out in my dressing room & it hurts me so much to disappoint you all."

When Will Megan Moroney Perform a Make Up Show in Denver?

Moroney already has a makeup date on the books.

She'll return to Denver on Aug. 27. All tickets purchased for Tuesday night's show will be valid on that date, and fans who can't attend can receive a refund from their point of purchase.

Will Megan Moroney's Illness Affect Other Dates On Her Cloud 9 Tour?

Megan Moroney's next scheduled tour stop is Aug. 1 in Portland, Ore. As of now, that show is still on.

The singer's Cloud 9 Tour, named for her most recent album, has been on the road since May. It's now in the last leg of U.S. tour dates, which are set to wrap on Aug. 21 with a show in Nashville.

After that, Moroney will head overseas for an international leg of the tour, with dates in Scandinavia, Europe and the UK.
