As the 2026 World Cup gets underway, there's much more being discussed this year than just soccer.

One of those topics is Europeans' reaction to America's largest convenience store, Buc-ee's.

One German fan's over-the-top reaction to the famous mega gas station went viral this week.

Freddy, who posts on X as @FreddyLA7, has been documenting his trip ahead of Germany's opening match in Houston. He was completely blown away when he discovered Buc-ee's.

Freddy posted a video to X with the all-caps caption, "DUDE LMAO THIS IS A GAS STATION," which had been viewed more than 24 million times as of June 12.

After posting the video at 12:55 a.m., Freddy appears to have wandered through the massive American convenience store, taking in the sights before eventually settling on a late-night meal.

He later shared a photo of his food with the caption, "Dinner from Buc-ee's at 1 a.m."

It's not just one person from one team participating in the World Cup who is enamored with America's Buc-ee's.

A Scottish fan visiting the United States also found themselves at a Buc-ee's and took to X to show it off.

What's even crazier is that the Buc-ee's attracting all of these World Cup fans and players is more than 30 miles from the stadium in Dallas where the matches are being played.

Apparently, for international visitors, a trip to Buc-ee's is becoming almost as essential as attending a World Cup match.

World Cup Fans Are Being Bussed to Buc-ee's Just to Experience It

Buc-ee's has become such a popular destination among World Cup fans and players that shuttle buses are now transporting visitors to and from the famous travel center.

In North Texas, Trinity Metro offers visitor shuttles that include a stop at the Buc-ee's near Texas Motor Speedway. The agency even describes it as a "legendary Texas mega-travel center."

And that's not the only transportation option catering to Buc-ee's fever. Another major bus company is launching its own Buc-ee's tours beginning June 15, giving even more World Cup visitors a chance to experience one of Texas' most famous attractions.

According to the Dallas Observer, that shuttle will only run on days when there is not a World Cup game in Arlington. The shuttles come and go every 30 minutes or so.

How Much Are World Cup Fans Paying to Go to Buc-ee's?

A one-day round-trip ticket is $20. Which, to go around 60 miles round-trip on a charter bus with WiFi, isn't that outrageous of a price to experience the Beaver Nuggets for yourself at Buc-ee's.
