Route 66 Museum in Illinois is a Top U.S. Attraction for Car Fans
Whether you call them vintage or classic, one museum in Illinois is known for having some of the best cars in the nation all at once.
The most historic highway in America is Route 66. Millions of cars have driven on 2,448 miles of road between Los Angeles and Chicago. To see several cars that have driven on this famous highway, you can visit one of the best car attraction museums in Illinois, Route 66 Association of Illinois Hall of Fame and Museum in Pontiac, Illinois.
This museum offers an interesting look into the history of Route 66 with its collection of videos, photos, and artifacts that capture this iconic highway.
This museum showcases some of the rare and classic vehicles from brands like Pontiac and Oakland. The best thing about this museum is that you don't have to be a car enthusiast to enjoy the history of cars and the famous highway.
There is so much history in this museum it would make for an interesting stop on a long road trip to Chicago. I didn't even know this existed, but after seeing the video and looking through some photos it does seem like a fun place to visit for historians and car enthusiasts.
