You have city life, lakes, and wine country and we even have places to go skiing all of these are why Illinois is a great place to visit. It might be a difficult place to live, but the state itself is a beautiful landscape of the Midwest.
Illinois ranks higher than Missouri. The Show-Me State comes in at #30 out of 50 of the most visited states. Which I think should be a little higher on the scale. You have the STL Zoo, Botanical Gardens, Hermann, Kansas City, Columbia, and yes even Hannibal, Missouri has so much to explore, and why I think it should be much higher on the list.
