IDPH Hosting FREE Drive-Thru COVID Testing Clinic
The Illinois Department of Health will be hosting a drive-thru/walk-up COVID testing event this week.
The Adams County Health Department posted on their Facebook page about the IDPH testing. The COVID-19 testing clinic will take place in the Shopko parking lot (3200 Broadway) September 24th - 27th from 9 am to 5 pm each day. This is for anyone who would like to be tested for COVID-19. If you are in line by 5 pm you will be able to get tested.
There is no cost for the testing which is a simple nasal swap, and should not take long to do. You should have your results from your test within four to seven days. You are asked to bring your insurance card, however if you don't have insurance you can still get tested.
You do not have to have systems or be sick to get tested, this no cost testing if available to anyone who wants to have the test done. So, if you where thinking about getting tested, even if you’ve never have had symptoms, this would be something to consider. I may even get tested, I am not sick or have had any symptoms but the knowledge of knowing that I am negative or haven't had COVID is somewhat comforting.
You do not have to make an appointment just drive up or walk up and you can get the test. For more information on the free testing clinic, click here!
