All Hy-Vee pharmacy locations will now offer free COVID-19 vaccines with no appointment necessary, in order to provide a walk in option and to make it convenient for the recipient. You can still make an appointment if you choose to do so, that option is still available to recipients. If you would like to make an appoint, just log on hy-vee.com/covidvaccine, selecting “Find Appointments” and completing consent form and appointment selection. COVID-19 vaccines still remain free for everyone, regardless of whether they have insurance.

The Adams County Health Department is also continuing in giving out COVID-19 vaccines to those who want to go there and get the vaccine. However, they are no longer at the Oakley-Lindsay Center, the COVID-19 Vaccine clinic is now located at the Adams County Health Department (330 Vermont St), however individuals will need to make an appointment to get the vaccine. Just call the Health Department at 217-222-8440 and scheduling a vaccine appointment.

There are still a few ways to get the vaccine if you still haven't done so, or if you need more information. Both the Hy-Vee and the ACHD can answer any questions you may have about the vaccine. I have received the Johnson & Johnson shot and I had no side effects at all, it’s a comfort knowing that I am protecting my family & friends who I care about so much.
