If you tuned in to Jimmy Kimmel Tuesday night, you got an intimate picture of his innards, photographed by Hannibal native Dr. Christina Ha.

The comedian took a serious turn and had a colonoscopy, performed by the imminently qualified Dr. Ha. Kimmel was supported by his friend Katie Couric, whose husband died at a young age of colon cancer. Couric had a televised colonoscopy herself in 2007.

Naturally, Kimmel only wanted the best in the business for this procedure, and that's why he enlisted Dr. Ha. According to the Hannibal Courier Post, Ha graduated from Hannibal High School and earned magna cum laude honors from Harvard. She completed her internal medicine and GI fellowship at the prestigious Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She has served on the faculty at Johns Hopkins and UCLA. She is also a faculty member at Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Her father is a cardiologist at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
