A strong warning from the Department of State is advising Missouri residents to not travel to 19 countries.

Many of us are making our summer plans for vacation, but a new advisory out from the Department of State is warning Missourians not to travel to these counties. These are high-risk areas in the world that the USA is advising not to travel to.

This is what the Department of State wants U.S. residents to look over before booking a flight/vacation/or visit to any country in the world. Currently, there are four Travel Advisories for the United States of America. The Travel Advisory states:

This is due to local conditions and/or our limited ability to help there. These places are dangerous and by visiting you may be putting yourself at extreme risk.

 

Tips For Traveling To These Countries

If there is no way around it and you have to travel to any of these countries the Department of State gives a few help tips on what you will need to do:

  • Know where the U.S. Embassies and Consultants are located
  • Make sure you know what the Department of State can and can't do
  • Check the Travelers Checklist to make sure you have everything you need
