The City of Quincy is considering privatizing the collection of garbage and recycling instead of using the sticker program it has used for years. With that in mind, the City is going to hold two public hearings on the issue.  The first hearing will be tonight from 6:30 to 7:30 at St. Peter's Church basement at 2600 Maine Street in Quincy.  The second hearing will be held at the Quincy Public Library at 526 Jersey in Quincy on Thursday , December 5th from 6:30 to 7:30pm. Both meetings are open to the public and will be conducted as an open forum.

Mayor Kyle Moore will speak first and then open the floor for questions and answers.  All citizens of Quincy are invited and encouraged to attend.
