Amp up your holiday spirits, watch a Christmas parade, and shop small this weekend in Hannibal. The Hannibal Jaycees is hosting its annual Christmas parade on Saturday, Dec. 5.  The parade steps off at 6 p.m. at the end of Broadway with floats gathering in the Save-a-Lot parking lot. The route follows Broadway and then turns onto historic North Main Street.  There, downtown merchants will greet shoppers at the Victorian Festival of Christmas.

The Victorian Festival of Christmas happens every weekend in downtown Hannibal leading up to Christmas Eve. Main Street takes you back a century to see a traditional holiday celebration. Merchants stay open later with the goal of encouraging people to shop local. The shops downtown offer hand-crafted and unique gifts to put under the tree.

Also at the parade, the Hannibal Jaycees will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. More than 1,600 kids will receive gifts through the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.
