Are you one of those folks who just can't wait for the Christmas season to get here? Do you watch the Hallmark Channel Christmas movies in July?

For most of the rest of the world, the Christmas season doesn't begin in earnest until after Thanksgiving. But, if you'd like for the holiday celebration to begin sooner, how about ... next week?

If you know me, you know that, as far as I'm concerned, Branson, Missouri is the most magical place in the world. And, at no time of the year is that more true than Christmas season, which, incidentally, begins November 1.

For two full months, full sensory overload is the order of the day as Branson is in full show-off mode, with shows, attractions and millions of colored lights ... everywhere.

Branson is known as the Live Show Capital of the World. According to bransonchristmas.info, there are a dozen different stages show that will feature all Christmas music, including stars like Rhonda Vincent, Daniel O'Donnell and Tony Orlando. There are 15 more shows that will feature some holiday tunes and stars like the Oak Ridge Boys and the Texas Tenors.

Plus, there are about three dozen more "regular" shows, if you'd like to get a break from decking the halls.

And that just scratches the surface. There's Silver Dollar City, the annual Adoration Parade, the Polar Express Train Ride, the Christmas Tree Tour and endless shopping.

In my not so humble opinion, if Branson isn't your number one Christmas destination, it should be.
