Are We In Dixie?

It all started when I had a friend call in a request for "Christmas In Dixie" by Alabama. My friend thinks he's in Dixie.  It reminded me of the age-old argument about whether Missouri is really a "southern" state...in Dixie.  I'm not the only one to ask this question recently.  Let's consider the following facts:

1. Most of us around here really do love southern fried chicken.
2. Most of us around here watch NASCAR religiously.
3. I see plenty of confederate flags on the back of trucks that flip me off when I forget to use the turn lane.
4. Dukes of Hazzard.  We all love the General Lee car.

So, what do you think?  Do you think of yourself as a Yankee or a Southerner?
