Which Animal Yoga is Missouri’s Favorite?
I don’t know why yoga needed the inclusion of animals, but it’s a thing now. You don’t have to attend a yoga class that includes animals, but they are increasingly available. There’s more than goat yoga out there in the Show-me State.
Goat Yoga started all this years ago
Goat Yoga may be what kicked off the animal yoga but puppy yoga is gaining in popularity with classes even being held at Ballpark Village in St. Louis earlier this season. Many puppy yoga events are utilized to showcase puppies from local shelters from across the state. Cat yoga is also quite widespread in Missouri.
Yoga with horses is a thing in Missouri too.
The latest twist is Equine yoga which is yoga next to and on top of horses..(!!!) Expect this trend to continue. With Bunny yoga classes also being offered in St. Charles, Mo. Pig yoga has been tried in recent years (again with shelters to get pigs adopted). Donkey yoga is a thing near Kansas City. Why no mules Missouri? That should be a thing in the Show-me state.

Yoga being done in Missouri at the Endangered Wolf Center in Eureka – Not WITH the wolves but near their enclosures so that you can hear them. There have also been yoga events at the Kansas City Zoo. What other animals seem like a good fit for free range during yoga class? Guinea pigs? Sheep? With this animal inclusion into yoga trend lasting years now how long before there is just “barnyard yoga” where any farm animal could wander through?
