Over the past several weeks we've been receiving concert information for the upcoming county and state fairs, in addition to the news that Josh Thompson will be headlining National Tom Sawyer Days. Big news broke on April 11 when the Hannibal Jaycees announced that Josh Thompson will be appearing at Tanyard Gardens during National Tom Sawyer Days. Josh is an up-and-comer in country music, and for those that aren't familiar with him, we thought we'd share some interesting facts about his career and music.

The first entertainment announcement for this summer's National Tom Sawyer Days has been made! Country music's Josh Thompson will appear July 3 at Tanyard Gardens and area favorites Madd Hoss Jackson will open the show!

(Hannibal, Mo)--Approximately 2,000 runners and walkers participated in the Hannibal Cannibal 5K run-walk and the 10K run,  and new this year: the 15 K race.

Hannibal's official Tom and official Becky have been named for 2013 - 2014. During a noon ceremony at Central Park, the Hannibal Chamber of Commerce announced that Nathan Lewton and Ashlyn Nichols had been chosen as Hannibal's new city ambassadors.

Blackjack Billy is poised to hit it big. The band with it's infectious and energetic "redneck rock" as described by singer Rob Blackledge will perform on Saturday night at 8pm in Tanyard Gardens during the National Tom Sawyer Days festival in Hannibal.

Hannibal is preparing for its biggest event of the year. National Tom Sawyer Days returns on July 3 and goes through July 6.

The Hannibal YMen's Club is once again holding a mud volleyball tournament during National Tom Sawyer Days and there is still room for teams to sign up.

One of the best things about the annual National Tom Sawyer Days celebration in Hannibal is live music, and the 2013 edition will not disappoint.
