Zombie and Pumpkin Runs Scheduled for October 19 in Hannibal

What could make running in a 5K race even more terrifying? How about running from zombies during the 5K race? Last year, the Hannibal Jaycees brought a fun new event to America's Hometown. The first-ever Zombie Run in Hannibal was a huge success, and it's coming back in 2013! 

This year, the Zombie Run and Pumpkin Run for kids will be on Saturday, October 19. The Zombie Run is a 5K walk/run that will begin at the Hannibal Jaycees Haunted House, at 320 South 3rd Street. It will start at 5 p.m. Early registration will save runners $5. The entry fee is $20 through October 5, then $25 through the day of the race. The Zombie Run is for fun, only. It is not timed and no medals are awarded.

For kids 8 and under, a Pumpkin Run will take place just before the start of the Zombie Run, at 4 p.m. Early registration is $15 through October 5, then $20 after October 5. Each pre-registration person will be guaranteed a T-Shirt and Pumpkin for Trick-or-Treating! There will be limited shirts and sizes available on race day
