The #1 Safest City in the US for Trick-or-Treating is in Illinois

According to NBC Chicago, the city of Naperville, Illinois was named the number one safest city for trick-or-treating this Halloween. The list was put out by a group called chamberofcommerce.org, and on NBC Chicago they say...

"The recent list from Chamber of Commerce, a review website, named Naperville the top city for safety while trick-or-treating. The ranking looked at more than 300 U.S. cities with a population of at least 100,000 residents and evaluated them on a number of criteria, including pedestrian fatalities, violent crime, property crime, the number of registered sex offenders and the number of law enforcement employees."

I went through the list from the Chamber of Commerce to see what other cities were on the list, and the only city from Illinois on the list was Naperville. They only listed the top 25 safest cities for trick-or-treating in the US on the list, and there were no cities from Missouri or Iowa on the list. To see the complete list for yourself, click here!

I am certainly not shocked to see Naperville at the top of this list. Naperville is a city that is always at the top or near the top of lists like "best places to live" or "safest places to live" and it should be. I grew up in a terrific suburb of Chicago called Crystal Lake and in my opinion, Crystal Lake is the only suburb I would live in over Naperville.
