Schlitterbahn Water Park in Kansas City has been building what will be the world's tallest and fastest waterslide. The new attraction, Verrück, will be 17 stories tall, taller than the Statue of Liberty and taller than Niagara Falls. The park anticipates Verrück being completed soon, however, Schlitterbahn has announced that grand opening events for the record-setting waterslide have been postponed.

According to the Schlitterbahn newsroom, "Schlitterbahn is working diligently towards completion of adjustments and commissioning of Verrückt by May 23, however we are postponing the grand opening events tentatively to June 5."

Regardless of when it actually opens, you'd have to be pretty brave to be one of those first four riders to take the plunge down Verrückt, which has been already been verified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the tallest waterslide in the world! Would you ride be brave enough to ride Verrückt?
