What’s Your Favorite Food At A Family Get Together?

I have to thank my Aunt Bernice.

She was a great cook, even though she never took credit for her abilities, saying that she was just a "farm-wife cook."  She always took time to provide delicious meals to her family, and still helped out with all of the other daily chores of operating a farm.  Mealtime there, is still one of my favorite memories.

Of all of her dishes I always liked best, what she referred to as Texas sheet cake. It was the best chocolate cake I ever had. She made it from scratch, and it never failed to please all of those that ate it.

Matter of fact, when we had a family get together, everyone always expected Aunt Bernice to bring her cake and she always did.

What are some of your favorite dishes when your family gets together?
