Making a Bonnie Tyler reference in the headline would have made it too long. But yes, we'll be able to see the rare Total Solar Eclipse, which sits at the heart of our solar system, making it a Total Eclipse of the Heart.

On August 21st, between 12:15pm and 1:45pm CDT, the eclipse will cut a line through the United States from Salem, OR to Charleston, SC. The full 100% Total Eclipse of the Heart of our Solar System will be in the 121 mile wide path, that Quincy/Hannibal fall juuuuuuuuust a bit outside of (we'll still see 97% coverage). However, Columbia is right in the path, and will get the full effect 1:10 and 1:20pm CDT.
